Ante el poco espacio en los cementerios, China propone códigos QR en las lápidas
China, al ser uno de los países más poblados del mundo, provocó que los cementerios se empiecen a quedar sin espacio para los entierros de las personas fallecidas. Ante esta situación, el país propone que los familiares y/o seres queridos de los fallecidos tomen la opción de cremar a la persona para que así ocupen menos terreno y darles la opción de un QR en el cual se puedan ver fotos y vídeos para recordar a la persona difunta desde el celular.
La idea del Consejo de Estado asiático es que con la implementación del funeral digital se reduzca el terreno que ocupan los cementerios públicos en un 70% para 2030.
A principio de 2023 se han vendido más de 500 parcelas digitales, en donde la familia puede guardar las cenizas del difunto y en donde pueden ver imágenes y videos del mismo. Ante esta medida, Pekin también esta implementando un programa llamado “Entierro Verde”. Esta actividad consta en que las cenizas de las personas fallecidas son enterradas sin una lápida. Debido a esto, los familiares reciben una placa conmemorativa con un código QR en el que se puede acceder a toda la información de la persona fallecida.
Esta nueva medida, además de ahorrar espacio, también se ahorra dinero. Esto se debe a que el 45% del sueldo promedio de una persona habitante en China se dirige a los funerales. Según Business Insider, en China un funeral cuesta alrededor de 5.400 dólares.
